I don't usually buy soundtracks. They often have beautiful music, but because of their subjugation to film, can suffer from being bitty and bobby: they don't form a proper whole. When the soundtrack is by one composer, I wonder why the composer doesn't 'finish it off' so that we can appreciate the soundtrack as a fully formed piece of music. That said, there are some wonderful bits of music on this CD. As well as the Marianne Faithfull track, 'Who will Take My Dreams Away?', which she sings EXQUISITELY - it's worth the price of the CD alone.
