No information is given on release, other than the inner text that reads "Purple Frog Cult." The tape was sent by Big Frog (who is uncredited; this notion is taken from the package's return address) to a number of recipients, along with a note detailing the supposed origins of the tape.

In December 2015, a digital version was uploaded to Phyllomedusa's Bandcamp page (though the release date was written as November 26, 2013), further confirming that this is a Phyllomedusa release.
