I think the 1st and possibly 2nd demo were only used to promote the band to record companies(Bristol's Riot City being one of them)and weren't generally put out to the public until the added practise sessions and live recordings were added sometime in 1984 and sold via various punk zines that were available at the time,as more recordings became available and put out into the general public some people not involved with the band saw fit to add/change the various tracks available and also make a new cover,a guy in America was notorious for doing this.Nevertheless,it wasn't an issue because it helped get the bands name and music around. The tracks and cover above was put out by Mo(vocalist and later, bassist of Onslaught)whilst the other tracks and cover was being sent out by Steve Grice(drums).Mo continued to promote the band by sending out practise and live tapes if and when they became available, the bootleg album "Hatred Towards The System"(vinyl only)with Roger Davies on vocals actually came from one of those practise tapes that Mo released.I think you are correct though, the "What Lies Ahead?" with just the 1st demo on it is the original version but the band claimed at the time that they didn't do a lot with it.

This has the wrong tracks and the wrong sleeve, its not the original demo, the correct one can be found in the "unofficial" releases.
