Best CD ever ... too long in coming .. but better late than never

42 years after their debut album - this is an absolute cracker !!! So many good songs - something for everyone here. Listen to "King of the New York Streets" - a real belter - PLAY LOUD !!!! 5 stars.

Having been waiting a very long time for this album to be released, we have been rewarded with some absolutely cracking new material penned by Dean Loach, Rob Hewins and Paul Dixon, as well as some great new cover versions, many of the songs featuring the unmistakable voice of Andy Pelos on lead vocals. The album is an interesting mix of R&B, Doo Wop and contemporary pop with an instrumental track, Sabre Dance, thrown in for good measure, thus ensuring that there is something to appeal to everyone. Given the quality of the numbers penned by the band themselves, there is a very strong case for them to have included more of their own material and ditched some of the cover versions. There are many excellent songs on this album but, for me, the stand out one is Dream I'm With You, which on first hearing made me stop what I was doing so that I could listen to it properly - and then promptly playing it again, and again ...... Having whetted our appetite for the new style Showaddywaddy, I sincerely hope that we won't have to wait quite as long for the next studio album !

wow - this band just get better and better. A great album, some new penned SWW tracks. A bit more bluesy than the original early music but some great songs. The Ballard dream with you is singles chart material and the power on the instrumental Sabre Dance, show just what professional musicians showaddywaddy are. Never mind Get a Job.. Get a copy of this great album. Based on this and the surge in popularity at live gigs, SWW will still be around in another 50 Years Time !!!!
