I'd had this album on my wish list for quite awhile. Glad one turned up. This is one of the early releases on Liberty Records. Conley Graves Trio turns in a nice set of easy listening piano-based instrumentals. "Let's Fall In Love" opens the set with a strong performance. The moody "Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year" has really appealed to me on the first few spins. The set ends with pep on "I Left My Heart In Haiti." I like the cover by artist Olivia Burke. The liner notes, however, are quintessentially stupid talking about how the record is sure to be a smash because lots of people [in 1956] were buying pianos and wondering what to do with them, which this record solves by showing how Conley Graves plays piano. I'm really enjoying the LP, finding myself reaching for it eagerly. Enjoy!
