KMFDM's fourth album, and the entrance of core member Gunter Shulz(referred to as Svetlana Ambrosius), you can hear them on this album developing the beginnings of the sound that would later peak with Nihil and Xtort. You can also hear KMFDM overgrowing their Wax Trax! label contemporaries, the sound gets more sophisticated on Naive, nothing is missing from the previous sound, but now the addition of Gunter's guitar work, and the whole heavy and deep pulsating drum sound they would become known for later. Once again, as with UAIOE, the better songs feel more spread out throughout the album. Tracks like "Naive" successfully accomplish everything that made early KMFDM good, while tracks like "Go to hell" accomplish everything that would make future KMFDM tracks so good. This is the exact moment in their career when the singles cease to be the most important work from them and the albums took over.
