A magnificent piece of music. Music rates alongside Keep On as D-Train's best work, and in content and structure is quite similar to it as well. It delivers an uplifiting, positive message without being too preachy or religious, yet it is not (like Keep On) advocating maintaining strength in the never ending struggle of life but is extolling the role that music plays in our lives as music lovers. It asks how how we would feel without music in our lives and without a song to cheer us up when we feel down. If music held our destiny, whay kind of people would we be? The vocal break down in this track is better than that of Keep On, not because of the power of the message but because of the sheer emotional intensity with which it is delivered. It elocutes the message once and then adds in dramatic fashion bass and shakers to fill the mix, to devesatating effect. This is close to being the crown jewel in my record collection. Long live music that spreads the message of love, peace and brotherhood.
