Orchestral themes and fanfares depicting ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire, ancient dynasties of the Chinese Emperors and the India of 3,000 years ago

This CD, from the Chappell RML Archive Collection, brings together music from the depths of our tape vaults that represent the more tangible aspects of Ancient Civilisations that are know to history.

"The Mysteries of Ancient Egypt" is a panoramic collage of tracks depicting Cairo and the Great Pyramids of Giza — the last existing monuments representing "The Sevens Wonders of the World". Recent research has shown that both the Sphinx and the Pyramids may be far older than previously imagined, possible dating back to 10,500 BC . . .

"Conquests of the Roman World" contains grand fanfares and marches representing the grandeur of the decedent Roman Empire, which Hollywood immortalised in films such as "Anthony and Celopatra", "Ben Hur" and Spartacus".

"Courts of the Chinese Emperors" — takes us to the ancient dynasties of warrior kings and grand temples, covered in deep mysticism.

Finally, "Legends from the Bhagavad Gita" portrays ancient tales from the great Sanskrit epic of Indian Mythology. Throughout the centuries the Mahabharata, the vast book from which the Bhagavad Gita is taken, tells of Vedic India 3,000 years ago, the four cycles or "yugas" in which humanity has existed and the legends of the seven ancient Seers.
