Mikael Delta, with Halcyon Days, returns to the sun-drenched downtempo house that marked his first album, Blue Emotions. But there’s also a little more of an edge; “In My Heart” is harder than his usual output, but fear not, “Melt” puts you back in mellow territory, but with a slight bite. “The Dawn” adds some ethereal female vocals, over a peppy, Latinesque chord progression. The vocals on “The Way You Touch My Soul” and “Time Will Show” however, is rather cringe-worthy, but the stuttering beats on “Love Don’t Matter” help alleviate the situation. It’s another pleasant album -- by no means outstanding -- but enjoyable enough.
