Not entirely sure why I bought this record. More I listen, less I think it was a good choice. But my taste isn't everyone else's. As the prices in SF have driven out a lot of the better DJs and producers, this sells in the gay crowds. Honey Soundsystem guys... now another listen, the Gotta Make it Loose track. It's clearly in the obscene / boundary realm. Not that this record would ever make it into a set of mine, I just bought for the porn track basically. I thought it was a good purchase to support freedom of speech, nothing much more than that. Pretty basic and considering it's from 1980, it doesn't carry that well to today. It's just not one of those records. Bargain buy, you should be able to find it for $1 or something.

B-side is the stand out here. Both tracks great. B1 sounds like a Talking Heads outtake/homage (in a great way.)

"Kickin In" is a very well crafted tune using some of original element's from Cerrone's Supernature "Sweet Drums"... respectfully and tastefully reworked. The entire end break from Cerrone is used, then add synths and voice on top with some extreme Cowley effects. Its featured in the beginning, throughout and clearly heard towards the end (verbatim) thus providing a killer segue way track for the disco DJ if you wish to mix back and forth in/out of "Supernature". Perfect for that moment 2 spark any dance-floor !

"Some" elements? He used "Sweet Drums" in it's entirety! A bit disappointed. Cowley did NOT need to do that.
