A Great album ! Full of swirling percussion and some tasty rhodes & electric piano work from the leader. The album is a culmination of Clare Fischer's love of experimenting with multiple recording and latin jazz. The album features Poncho sanchez & Alex Acuna on percussion. It's not a straight ahead latin album as it's quite funky in parts.He talks about having " Major triads in second inversion for every note he plays.." I should have paid more attention in music lessons , it's all beyond me I'm afraid. One thing I do know though , is that its sounds Damn Good !!! One of those albums you can just put on and let play , every tracks a winner. Seen less & less these days. Silky mellow tracks peppered with assorted percussion, to uptempo latin groovers with funky rhodes interweaving. a Good solid album from him, one of his Best. Feat: Descarga - Yema Ya. Great jazz dance club track.
