Putting completely aside his random samples and pop references – a developement already noticable on his Grooverider LP – Shitmat created a straight, honest, yet playful album full of oldschool jungle and breakbeat. I am not educated enough to spot the references to the pioneers of this genre but there must be tons of it. Extremely fun to mix and equally fun to listen trough. Every track is unique in its own way, not one filler on the whole album. One of the most consistent breakbeat jungle LPs I own.
