All good, just don't pay OG prices for dupe copies.Originals came in a colour burst sleeve (see images)

The 2008 'reissue' (bootleg) has a value of no more than £10-£15, as it has no historical merit, but is a worthy track & the original is hard to come by. Just don't pay prices based on sales of the OG, which of course is worth far more, if buying an unofficial copy from somewhere...

Wow.....so expensive, guess I'll just have to make do with "essence of a dream" on 'best of house vol.3' and the other side 'risque madness' on 'Jack Trax 3'.

Alternatively check the 'Video mind' Do It For Me & I'll Do It For You also released on stride records. Also released on BEHO3 LP Vol 3 .

Two worthy classics on either side. Should've been a double AA side in my opinion. Essense Of Dream is what deep house should be about. Melancholy, sensuality, with a subtle funkiness which doesn't overpower the other elements and not overproduced to the point of unnecessary overlaying of pads, vocals etc.Risque Madness on the other hand is quite a mental track. Off-Kilter compared to the main side and quite a bit tougher too. Definitely has crossover appeal into the heavier, more experimental Detroit techno sounds and Chicago house and acid of the time. The funk is more blatant and seriously jacking!

risque madness - this was such an early cult house track , only the real early heads came in and bought one of these . http://www.discogs.com/Kikrokos-Jungle-DJ-Dirty-Kate/release/210862 is where the risky madness sample comes from . its an old ron hardy track and a cult track in itself . i think someone had it on the 'choices' cd series too [tenaglia/mills maybe?] . still sounds so underground and so good .

This track represents the Early house sound of the Chi.K Alexi was and is one of the true pioneers that made this possible.

Big Classic release. Both Sides are good. Essence Of A Dream uses a cool TB 303 Bass line that evolves a little bit, so, we can say it is one of the first acid-house record. The other side features also a wonderfull jackin' anthem wich represents itself the Chicago Jackin' sound. Raw disco sample & wild voices & vibe. Top EP !A must have for every House Music lover.

One of K. Alexi's best and yet most unsung releases; a must for those who like the extremely deep & dirty tracks from that era (think 'All for Lee-Sah' but more unrefined)...
