If you watch the Closure VHS (halo 12) Trent makes a comment about Woodstock 94' being one of his best performances. He would later go on to recant that statement after hearing a recording of it. For performance audio purposes it's awful. With Trent making lame statements like, "This is a song we did for The Crow". Bad audio great visual performance. The visual is why this falls flat. Woodstock 94' brought a mud covered brooding angry Trent to a televised MTV event which was supposed to be some lame grunge (sound garden) pop punk (green day) event. And NIN ended up stealing the show. Ushering in a new breed of hateful victimized artists, like Marilyn Manson and Korn. Hearing the show you miss out on Trent's greasy mud covered hands going up and down and the microphone stand. You can't see it, and so it sounds like every other NIN performance from this time. At one point when Pretty Hate Machine came out Trent made a statement (targeted at other "industrial" bands) that he did not want to be an artist alone on stage with a guitarist and a drum machine. However, a majority of NIN bootlegs from the Downward Spiral era fall into this category. Too polished, with the sole emotions coming from Trent's voice. That would be great, but you find Trent "freaking" out at the same parts of everything song in all bootlegs which quickly becomes stale. Good audio taken from cable tv for this release. The artwork is awesome if your a Phantasm fan. Other than that it's a German bootleg nothing memorable about it. The booklet contains the same artwork as the cover and a catalog of other bootleg releases available.
