The previous comments only display hatred to a misunderstood sound which now is severely popular. Yes thats right RV was way ahead of time. If this doesn't captivate you then fuck off, otherwise if you were fortunate enough to hear this perfectly mixed by a legendary dj who was able to mix another moody deep house track with this remix you'll get it, maybe a little but you'll have some understanding.

Okay @amirju I just woke up from the coma that @djfrankiebones refers to and I listened to this again. It has not stood the test of time. It's clear that the answer to "What Time is Love?" is about 4-5 minutes, not 20

I'm with Minky on this one. This record just plain sucks. I'm a huge KLF and Villalobos fan, so the fact this record is so boring and uninspired makes it all the more difficult to listen to. It shares absolutely none of the energy or force of the original. I've never needed remixes to sound completely faithful to the original, but when you remix the KLF you should definitely step it up a notch and do something special. After listening to these mixes I was left to wonder if Villalobos had ever even heard the original track! Obviously, you can't blame the KLF for this, the failure is surely that of Villalobos. By far his worst effort to date.

Malodora
You could put the beat-less pure trance mix of the original behind it.

It is a superb production as usual, deep and convey the feeling of afterhours. Wait another year and see how everybody will be searching for this record. Villalobos got the magic again. As the ususal suspense and the build up in Ricardo's productions; wait enough and you will be rewarded. I think this applies to his production through time as well, not a minute later but a year later; Get the record now, get the vibe and the meaning a year later :-).

Yes, it's true, this is not a remix, this is a typical 20 mn Villalobos groove monster. And who cares about the fact that it should or should not be a remix ? What we have here is an extremely well done construction, some kind of weird and sexy chill out excursion, with some well known villalobosian characters (see the "Fadutron" melody line appearing at some turns for example) and the not so expected voice of miss kittin. The ending is almost Terry Riley - like. Like others extended 12" he has done, the cut in two parts doesn't help to truly enjoy the music, it need to be listened as a whole.

Arihelm
"almost Terry Riley - like"? "Almost", like Lady Ga-Ga is "almost" Brian Wilson like. As if the record wasn't insulting enough to the KLF, Marellia goes and pours that on it. Please don't insult one of the greatest musicians of all time. This is totally fucking rubbish, made by a man right up his own arse for shaved headed minimal teds that have books about architecture on their expensive coffee tables and are at Panorama Bar in the middle of next week still staring empty brained over the city when they should have gone home for a shag three days ago. I've heard better music on X Factor. Whilst we're at it, calling this a remix of the KLF masterpiece just shows how creatively brain-dead this chap is. He clearly had Miss Kittin knocking around his studio and thought "i'll get her to do some vocals", but the only idea he could come up with was using the lyrics from what he'd heard on the radio in his car that morning. utter bollocks.

While Ricardo Villalobos has been known for his minimalistic ways and held in high regard for some of his works (Like 'Easy Lee') there is a point where it all truly does go pearshaped. Remixing is not suggested on records that have already been 'remixed' to death and here comes a trainwreck waiting to happen. On first listen it becomes apparent that Ricardo was not trying to remix the KLF, he was trying to minimalize his already half asleep style that will launch anyone into a deep comfortable sleep. It is like being induced into a ZZZzzzZzzz..um a coma like.....zZz....like......ZzZzZzZzZzZ......*snores.

sunrise bird
Frankly annoying record which pays little tribute to anything that made the original version so special. This reductio ad absurdum of such a vibrant and colourful record into a grim, sloppy, glitchy, alias-soup is definitely amongst Villalobos' poorer efforts, further soured by the fact that it seems to take itself quite so seriously. Sad.
