While this debut is commendable as a concept album about DeLorean, the mixture of 80's styled New Wave jarres violently against the rap tracks.I find it impossible to enjoy the album as a whole, which is typically what you need to do for a concept album.For example, you can be happily bouncing along to the lyrically imaginative "I Told Her On Alderaan" and all of a sudden you're dropped into the foul-mouthed "Trick For Treat" (which, while having some clever MC lines, cannot be forgiven for the smattering of base smut).Definitely still an LP to investigate for fans of that 80's synth-driven New Wave sound, but tread with caution.Conversely, I doubt many rap fans will enjoy the majority of material here.
