I would say that this is as seminal as Skam's 'Skampler' comp. I've gone on to buy records by every single artist on it without exception. In some cases these are the best tracks i've heard by the artists. This release also got me into several other labels (merck, onrecords, etc). You really should buy this release if you have any interest in electronic music.

Agreed. Everyone I've ever played this for has found something new and praiseworthy within. The best releases on Musik Aus Strom except perhaps the MASK series, but unlike MASK this is one anyone can afford to pick up!

Xela's submission "Streetlevel" is a profoundly gorgeous track, downbeat yet hopeful, a very delicate balance executed with such unqualifiable and unquantifiable finesse. Serious talent. Also check out the "My Rap" and "Soul in the Machine" remixes on Merck's Dosage sampler, very intelligent arrangement on "My Rap", wonderful sense of timing. Dropping a comedically snide sample before a major tempo and voice transition at the track's structural halfway point evokes a knowing smirk. "Are you crazy or plain stupid?" "Neither of the two, I think I'm quite smart... in fact, a genius." "Genius? You're kidding... You're the dumbest person that I've ever met." Genius all the way Mr. Twells. More please.

MAS Confusion stands out in my collection of electronix as one of smooth dexterity. Not only does it delight the ears with varying moods and flavors, but it does so with steady ease. This compilation makes flipping the plates though four sides more than worthwhile.
