Comments:
doesnt Do You
Among the most extreme releases, possibly --probably-- ever.Quite literally a remarkable achievement in the most hallowed of post-Incus hyper-academic cerebrally-caucasoid-to-the-point-of-insectophobic-new-wave-spazz-contortioning nerd investigations.I Bought this immediately upon its release and listened to the entire thing in one go.A few weeks later I suddenly revelationed: I HATE THIS MUSIC.However, for me to feel this (about music this adventurous in composition)ISpatently proof that this work is excellent and should be lauded if not exalted. These INCREDIBLY ANNOYING musically-sterile sound experiments into how pointless something can be and still exist, are very un-mediocre and briskly and vehemently disagreeable as entertainment or anything to do with the remote possibility of enjoyment. To the players, especially the sidemen, I say, "this is interminably 'orrible" BECAUSE of Jim French's "If Looks Could Kill" which, Galas expressed contrivance as a "piss take" (and, yet, somehow to me, sincere at once). To the curators I say "L'Chaim!".
