An early album from Air Liquide, NEUE FRANFURTER ELEKTRONIK SCHULE 1991 dives into the electronic textures immediately with "Tanz Der Lemminge 2," bringing an emotionality to a driving sound, while "Sunprogress" tingles with a paranoid feel. The blast of sharp noise on "Unser Elektronischer Mikrokosmos" hides the same close encounter sample as on their track "Things Happen," before leading into a brisk acid workout, whereas "Coffeine" has the same urgency, but is much more clean in execution. "Das Quellgebiet Des Amazonas" edges into ambient-dub-funk, but "Clash Of Cultures" returns to the steady beat and "Darkstar" closes things out with a tech banger. A great view into the heights that Air Liquide would soon achieve.

A album truly in a class of its own! Using plenty of complex layers and sophisticated futuristic analogue sounds that only AL seem to uniquely do. Here they again showcase there complex arrangements and consistently excellent, and even occasionally stupendous ability in creating ambient acid-techno like no other: Tense pounding beats, deep complex layers, robotic analogue rhythms mixed with sublime synth ambient, and of-course those ultra cool analogue acid loops that are sharp, piercing, and extremely addictive. - a sound that is truly there very own! A truly seminal intelligent piece of work that further pushes the boundaries with ambient-techno/acid music.
