Does a different version of this exist? I have one that is a EU pressing (catalog number is the same as EU presses but it just has the small centre ring as for example the 2012 Repress does. At the same time that one just has a US copy available.

My EU copy is like that - it's worth mentioning that inside the small centre ring there is a very tiny depression protruding about a millimetre in radius from the spindle hole.There was briefly a Discogs listing for it, but it has been merged with this release listing (which is for the "double dip" ring variant). Optimal's pressing rings on have changed over the years since the original 1999 EU vinyl was issued, so there are bound to be some variations.

Sounds hella clipped and compressed in comparison to the 2012 reissue (I have both). After finding the reissue, I never listen to this pressing anymore, but it has become a great wall decoration.

My copy (bought in 2005) definitely sounds better than the CD . The clipping is better, especially on 'Parallel Universe', which was absolutely atrocious on CD, however it is definitely still present. You can hear it particularly on 'Scar Tissue' and 'Otherside'. You can also hear compression. I'm not so into the album that I'm going to shell out for the superior 47386-1 pressing though.

Apparently that one sounds much better (with the cat number 47386-1). This one (9362-47386-1) is a digital master similar to the CD and doesn't sound as good.

Sound of 1999 version is average. Obviously the same compressed mastering as from CD. It's a pity.

I don't understand why we have 4 different variants on the matrix for this release, obviously there are 4 different press from different years. I'm suggesting to figure out which year is each matrix and divide this in 4 different releases, probably the value of the record is different each release.

I'm sorry to say, byt rou're wrong: https://www.discogs.com/help/doc/submission-guidelines-general-rules#1.4.4Manufacturing variations should not be counted as a unique release. For example; different stampers / matrix numbers for the same edition, [...] would not constitute a unique release.Hope this helps.
