KING ELECTRIC | KING ELECTRICTop10 Records, 2012http://www.top10records.org | http://www.facebook.com/KingElectricBandKING ELECTRIC PRESENTS DEBUT ALBUM "KING ELECTRIC" (incl. the two hit singles "Da King" and "Commit Yourself" plus brandnew single "Out Of Reach")The King Electric self titled debut LP is a sexy, cinematic, future-retro funk-disco affair, with a mildly pensive edge, and a warm, dub-infused psycadelic aura. The record was born over a period of 4 intense years, in multiple studios scattered around the globe. Typical production sessions included psilocybin driven tape experiments, b-film screenings and sampling, as well as campfires. They were often punctuated with alco blackouts, and occasionally with a healthy bar fight. The track selection on the LP was put together for movie like cohesion and flow and it really plays like a Felini acid freak show. The record's palette includes analogue synths, liquid guitars, film samples, breathy vocals, and panoramic strings, which further amplify the big screen audio cinematic to full effect. The arrangements remain tricky throughout, the song structures progressive, but neither ever interferes with the record's effortless dancefloor inclination. If anything, it makes for great repeat listening. In the words of the creators: "We're just a couple of idiots on the path to enlightenment. The tracks are just other examples of our definition of pop music. We started because we wanted to see how far we could go with that. Our Album will be a pocket full of quotations of our lives and all the music we love." (Interview: Radio Altroverso, Italy)If you listen closely enough, you'll hear it all: pinball machines, Deep Throat, a bit of early Polanski and Lalo Schifrin, backwoods campfire, airport stop overs, the roar of big cities and of course fearless use of hedonistic hook lines, spiced up with citations from the voluptuous treasure trove of the musical past and present....you get the picture?TRACKLISTING*:01 DA KING 4:18bloodthirsty clowns, eight-breasted sirens + Polansky's dancing vampires02 WE GOT FUNK 4:20booze n ladies keep me right03 PINBALL WIZARD 2:39the Las Vegas paradigm eternal04 PARALYZED PART ONE 6:01b-movie soulqueen meets drunken entertainer05 PARALYZED PART TWO 3:01theme from the cruise liner06 COMMIT YOURSELF 3:39rowdy killer beats with a hint of Karl Malden electro-funk07 YUL BRYNNER 6:20electro dub feat. klaus kinsky aka loco from Sergio Corbuccis great silence08 THE WAY YOU FEEL INSIDE (CAMPFIRE MIX) 3:45live mushroom recording session @ campfire + special ghosts09 OUT OF REACH 3:43going back to Nature for a take on Psilocybin feast10 LE VOYAGE DE MARILU 2:40if only Fellini could've seen this* all tracks are written and produced by KING ELECTRIC(Peter Hartwig | Chris Isepp)(+ special guests: Lluis Valles/Bass, Rodolfo Espina/Acoustic Guitar, Courtney Jones/Percussion, Lynne, Elli, Arceli & Sandra/backing vocals.....and last but not least Klaus Kinski aka Loco).LIVE SHOWS:King Electric (+ labelmates The Last One) are currently preparing for live appereance consisting of either a DJ-set and a full stage show featuring live guitarist, electric bass player and vocalists.
