Definitely worth a listen if you're a fan of their previous work but not their greatest achievement. Whilst The Richest Man in Babylon is the stronger album overall, I actually prefer some of these remixes to the originals. The more upbeat feel of this version of Exilio is a prime example. Kid Loco's excellent remix of Until the Morning has the feel of a laid back East Coast hip-hop beats and is superior to the original or the alternate remix appearing here. Resolution is also a better mix for me. Whilst the the only previously unreleased tune, Truth and Rights, fits in with the political tendencies of the original album I don't think it fits in well here, sonically speaking.

If THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON wasn't dub enough for you, then these mixes of BABYLON REWOUND will make up for that lack. The dub comes heavy and unmistakable from "The State of the Union" and even Emiliani Torrini's gentle vocals get recast in a reverb thick "Until the Morning." They take the dub more upbeat on the new track "Truth and Rights," while the Latin influence pokes through the horns on "Exilio." Kid Loco, one of the outside remixers, gives a mellow rub to "Until the Morning" while Voidd makes "Un Simple Histore" more house friendly. A nice accompaniment, but definitely not the main course.
