This is a genre defining album. Unique, catchy, clean, and most of all—genius. This album has heart ladies and gentlemen. No matter how much new psybient/psychill is released, I always find my way back to this gem and it hasn't aged a day. Sounds as fresh as the first day I heard it. Go Evan!

I challenge anyone who even remotely likes dub (or future jazz) to try listening to this--either in the foreground or the background--without bobbing their head even once. If I was allowed only a single adjective with which to describe this album as a whole, I believe that adjective would be "catchy." I did a lot more than just bob my head... I danced wildly as though I were conducting an orchestra and using my entire body, not just my arms, to conduct it. It's just that kind of album. Seriously, there are moments of almost classical virtuosity that had me moving my head and arms like Charles Winchester III listening to Rachmaninoff. Having said that, it is worth it just for track 3, the remix of Sounds from the Ground's "Triangle."

A pretty unique chillout album.. but one of my favorites. Bluetech uses a variety of styles and methods to make his tunes. Most notibly on this album you'll notice that he will mix about 10 to 15 different instruments in a song it seems. You'll hear a drum beat, chimes, multiple synths.. sometimes samples, voices and even piano or flute. He blends it all well though and it makes a very enjoyable album. Highlights on here for me are track 2, Prophetic Sines, which uses some really cool echo effects, and track 7, 7th Phase Dub, which has a cool oriental style to it. Chill fans should check Bluetech out.
