This is a hand written note from Bob Manton. "Robin Starstedt, the brother of Peter Starstedt of `Where Do You Go My Lovely` fame, wrote the song. A chap called Ray Singer who knew him teamed up with (?) Louis and had started a record label called Mainstreet Records. I can`t remember how, but they got in contact with The Purple Hearts manager and I met them and agreed to do the vocals as a one off although they seemed to have had the crazy idea of me being a solo artist with material like this which I had no interest in. It was recorded at Morgan Studios in Wilsden North London and I got £(?). There were some very good session men playing on it and it`s not a bad record but I find it embarasing now.
