This EP is so great I wonder why they didn't reprinted it! A preview of "Beneath Trembling Lanterns", "Moths + Butterflies" starts off with "Seabright", an excellent song which can't be unfortunately found on the LP. "Seabright" is probably one of their best takes on the "ocean/sea" theme, a theme which has dominated their early Halou works. It's a very refreshing song with a similar sound to "Beneath Trembling Lanterns", but still quite different from the LP, which is mostly "indoors". "Seabright" is "outdoors" and therefor more relaxing than what follows. Getting back into "indoors", "Soft Breasts And Ice Cream" is an intimate lullaby that manages to be very beautiful, although R/R Coseboom use lots of raw noises in the background and even make incredible alterations of Rebecca's voice towards the ending. In between as atmosphere, "Little Dust Wing" is another lovely song that is likely to stay on repeat for some while. The EP ends with an easily forgettable cello outro, "Sevens And Fourteens", that's not as good as the other songs but still a decent outro. Overall, an album that's worth looking for on the collectors' market.
