Sd Grooves Deep Flight EP is a classic deep house EP which has been one of my favorites for years. Side A Deep Filght plays at 45 rpm, is a stripped down laid back experience which builds slowly with percussion and sweeping strings. It kind of reminds me of the classic Master C & J track Face It. Side B plays at 33 rpm. B1 Red leather is a stripped down West Coast style tribal house effort with horn sounds and various other sound effects, while some stabs help fill out the music. B2 Lazy Rhythms brings us into Plastic City style deep tech-house territory, starting with a thumping 909 and tribal rhythms, before sweeping chords mellow down the music. The record is definitely worth picking up if you like things deep and sometimes a little techy.
