Igginbotzen the Song was in reference to a real cat named Igginbotzen. Igginbotzen the cat was owned by both Slim (Mark) Cessna and Mike Morasky of Steel Pole Bath Tub. Steel Pole Bath Tub has a song called Igginbotzen the Song from their first cassette release. Both Sons of T and Steel Pole Bath Tub lived in the Boulder & Littleton, Colorado areas at the same time and developed a friendship.

The Cristmas Song was recorded live at The Basement of the Town Hall Arts Center in Littleton, Colorado on October 20, 1985.
