Many interesting albums came silently in our days - there's too much information and music around us. This CD is one of them. "Open World" is comeback album by Zanov - legendary French electronic musician from the 70s-early 80s. New music created in 2014 after decades of silence.Classic electronic music in the style of the 70s space music. It's like 3 D photos from different planets by good old starship trooper. I wouldn't describe each track, I can only recommend you to listen for a start to dynamic final composition "Remote Impact". And I have to warn you - new music by Zanov is like a good wine. Its taste grows with the time. And it sounds even more impressive after the third or the fourth listening. Some listeners waited for the continuation of Zanov's epic space soundscapes but "Open Worlds" is a different story. Simply relax, choose the track and start to listen to the tales from starship trooper. Each tale got its own taste and mood. Waiting for the next album!

the wonderful return of Zanov a couple of years ago with Virtual Future (amazing in my opinion album), our back with a new work: OPEN WORLDS. At first it seems to leave you puzzled, after a few plays this new album captures you as if you almost had a hallucinogenic strength not indifferent. As we enter the work that seem to come out new melodies and carpets-sequencers truly amazing. From the first song (DUST ELECTRIC FIELD) as outlined It is nicely style! Just heard you immediately recognize the unique style of Zanov, with a beautiful melody enigmatic: large absolutely wonderful! Beginning E'dir little .. With NEXT TRIP: it seems to be in a threatening but fascinating never explored spatial universe, like a soundtrack for a space trip /time. Maybe, of undoubted charm. The track continues MAGICAL AREA space exploration with a fantastic melody pressing, mysterious and fascinating, really excellent. STRANGE WORLD is characteristic by a remarkable work with bass lines that seem to await the WONDERFUL hidden melody, almost singing the notes on the carpets-sequencers.song strange and particular melody "imperial" majestic. ROBOT VALLEY, from mocking melody, looks to continue the previous song speech, but of great charm. SIGNAL FROM DESERT DIAMOND: masterful sequencers worthy of the heyday of the great vintage electronic! One of my favorite songs, with a domineering electronic percussion that accompanies the melody with the "Arturia" form. VITAL OBSCURITY It is one of piu'romantiche sad melody with a great (I love the sad melodies!) In my personal opinion, perhaps the best of the whole album: the sounds are excellent and all the carpets fit perfectly with each other almost conducting the listener into an unexplored space constellation! truly dreamy in its globality '! in LAST SECRET TIME again Zanov imposes its valuable and unique style with a strange melody "decadent" feels like being inside an electricity 'generator, without hope in an abstract world, distant galaxies, with Equinoxe style sounds (JM.Jarre) but its always well defined style. The last track REMOTE IMPACT (which concludes the work) It is a masterpiece! a worthy finale that brings the listener to the exit, the end of space travel, with a wraparound sequencer that leaves a pleasant taste to those lucky enough to hear a GREAT album. ultimately the cd runs off quickly and leaves very appalled by the purity of the sounds (although digital, and although far from pure analog sound) It is the work more 'elegant Zanov, perhaps the best that hides many masterful sequences and a surprising artistic maturity.(By Robomaks-Star Robot System)

ZANOV-OPEN WORLDS (review by Robomaks-Star Robot System)-----------------Dopo il meraviglioso ritorno di Zanov un paio di anni fa con Virtual Future (album strepitoso a mio avviso), il nostro torna con un nuovo lavoro:OPEN WORLDS.All'inizio sembra lasciarti perplesso, dopo alcuni ascolti questo nuovo album ti cattura come se quasi avesse una forza allucinogena non indifferente.Mano mano che ci si addentra al lavoro sembrano venir fuori nuove melodie e tappeti-sequencers davvero sorprendenti.Gia'dalla prima song(ELECTRIC DUST FIELD)lo stile e'ben delineato!Appena ascoltata si riconosce immediatamente lo stile inconfondibile di Zanov,con una bella melodia enigmatica:grande inizio assolutamente!meravigliosa e'dir poco..Con NEXT TRIP:sembra di trovarsi in un minaccioso ma affascinante universo spaziale mai esplorato, quasi una soundtrack di un viaggio spazio/tempo.molto piu'elaborata di quanto puo'sembrare,di indubbio fascino.la track MAGICAL AREA continua l'esplorazione spaziale con una fantastica melodia incalzante, misteriosa e avvolgente, eccellente davvero.STRANGE WORLD e'caratterizzata da un pregevole lavoro con linee di basso che sembrano attendere la STUPENDA melodia nascosta, quasi a tessere le note sui tappeti-sequencers.brano stranissimo e particolare,melodia "imperiale" maestosa.ROBOT VALLEY,dalla melodia beffarda,sembra continuare il discorso della precedente song, ma di indubbio fascino.SIGNAL FROM DIAMOND DESERT:magistrale sequencers degno del periodo d'oro della grande elettronica vintage!una delle mie preferite song, con una prepotente percussione elettronica che accompagna la melodia con il modulo "Arturia".VITAL OBSCURITY e'una delle piu'romantiche con una ottima melodia triste(adoro le melodie tristi!)a mio personale parere forse la migliore di tutto l'album:i suoni sono eccellenti e tutti I tappeti si incastrano perfettamente tra di loro quasi conducendo l'ascoltatore in una costellazione spaziale inesplorata!davvero sognante nella sua globalita'!in LAST SECRET TIME ancora una volta Zanov impone il suo pregevole e inconfondibile stile con una stranissima melodia "decadente" sembra quasi di trovarsi all'interno di un generatore di elettricita', senza speranza in un mondo astratto, galassie lontane, con suoni stile Equinoxe (JM.Jarre) ma con un suo stile sempre ben marcato.L'ultima track REMOTE IMPACT (che conclude il lavoro) e'un capolavoro! un degno finale che porta l'ascoltatore verso l'uscita, la fine del viaggio spaziale,con un avvolgente sequencer che lascia un gradevole sapore a chi ha la fortuna di ascoltare un GRANDE album.in definitiva il cd scorre via rapidamente e lascia davvero esterefatti per la purezza dei suoni (anche se digitali, e pur lontani dal sound-analogico puro) e'il lavoro piu' elegante di Zanov, forse il piu'personale che nasconde tante magistrali sequenze e una sorprendente maturita'artistica.(by Robomaks-Star Robot System)
