Phil Milstein was the tape effects specialist for Uzi, a great Boston band of the mid-1980s. Many of the tapes he mixed into Uzi’s music, however, were also intended to stand alon on their own, outside of the context of the songs. This album is a swirling montage of the best of those tapes, alternately hypnotic, humorous, and scarifying.
