Notes

This 12" eventually turned from BR 009 into BR 010 through the following events:

Until the 2013 release of Mind Rewind 2 - Past Forward, the track Intense Visitation, which samples Jim Morrison of famous psychedelic rockers The Doors reading one of his poems (see Untitled), was only ever released in its full glory on this single (a slightly different version is available on Techno Spiritual Trance and shortened versions are also available on Aumniscience and on Matsuri 6). The reason is that after a promo / test pressing run of around 50 copies was made, the sampling was brought to the attention of Jim Morrison's heirs. Apparently, they were normally cool with sampling as long as permission was requested, but neither label nor artist had done so in this case. Thus, Blue Room Released was forced to cancel this record (according to the infosheet the intended release date was to be 07 Aug 1995).

Instead, BR 009 was turned into BR 009 CD/LP for the Juno Reactor album and this Etnica single pushed to BR 010 as Tribute / Astral Way. Not to waste money on another master acetate, the one for the track Tribute side had "BR 009 A1" crossed out and replaced with "BR 010 A2" below the original inscription, while the replacement for Intense Visitation, an older Etnica track called Astral Way, only has the BR 010 inscription as it was never intended for BR 009.

How can anybody pay over 200 bucks for a friggin Goa record, of all genres is beyond me. And these nincompoops trying to sell at 1000 bucks? is this some sort of bad joke? A fool and his money...

Vuzahn
Charlie, why do you care so much about my comment? The beauty of this site is that one can comment on music good or bad, so I'm not sure why your response here is valid or interesting. In any case, I obviously hit a nerve, as expected, but I agree that anybody can value their subjective view of artistic any way they want and use their money any way they want (which is what I stated below).

Androwyn
Hey articulo, I hit a nerve (tiny, probably). Tell us how you really feel?

Wow janitor303... techno... really? How boring! Techno is the most bland, simplistic, repetitive style which requires minimal talent. But maybe if you have lower IQ than a gorilla, as is true of many people who like and who produce techno music, you can't appreciate more sophisticated styles of music.

Worla
Why do you care so much? The beauty of music is that it is entirely subjective, so I'm not sure why you think your lengthy rant here is valid or interesting. Surely it is beautiful that people value artistic endeavour so highly and are still willing to pay serious money for items they will treasure forever?

Experience? Spiritual techno? Historical importance? Ok then... to each its own. Please don't get offended by this, and the Goa police can jump up in arms all day long and cry foul, but goa in general (and this in particular) is simply unimportant. Don't believe me? Get a copy of the bible of techno (Dan Sicko - techno rebels) and tell me how many times Goa is even mentioned. Zilch. You may get 30 mentions of UR or Kraftwerk or Derrick May.And I am not saying you should do this or listen do that because of a book. Of course you can listen to whatever you want or buy poop for 400 bucks. it's your money. But I am also entitled to then react to it. And I find it laughable that in some circles it is implied that somehow Goa played some role in the history of house and techno. Wishful thinking. You want to immerse yourself in real quality techno and real techno history? Grab a Moodyman or Drexciya record for crying out loud. And don't get me wrong, I am not saying one cannot sell a record for 300 bucks. Even though I wouldn't spend that money myself it's supply and demand after all. What I find hilarious is that it's Goa. Goa! What's next? Britney Spears for 400 bucks? Goa... good grief...

I find it amusing that at the moment of writing, there are 3 copies for sale of a vinyl pressed in 50 copies in 1995, all NM, and on the Goa/Psy forum there's another user offering it for sale, so they can be counted as 4; unless of course that user is one of the 3 sellers here under a different account.Either way very remarkable that at least 3 copies of it still lurk around in those conditions.

This is experience you are paying for, not the "record". This is spiritual techno :)
