This album must be one of the first Jamaican reggae albums to fully integrate the (then) new sound of the syn drum. It also uses the synthesizer almost in acid mode. Not really heard this before or since on a reggae album. It kind of hinted at a new direction for reggae music... but alas this wasn't really followed up by anybody. Way ahead of its time and well worth seeking out for fans of roots and dub reggae. Apart from The Black Morphologist of Reggae reissue in 1983 I don't think this album has been made available since 1979. Hudson made a follow-up album the same year (1979) called 'Nuh Skin Up' which dubbed up some of the tracks on this album. Luckily Pressure Sounds reissued Nuh Skin Up in 2007.
