Marilyn's Gold is one of the best disco sample collage house tracks ever. I've been playing this tune out since 2010 and will continue to do so. You have a cold floor? This heats em up. You have a floor on a tight groove and you wanna boil em over the lip of the pot w/o slamming it to 11? This song will churn the shit outta your dance floor. I am dead serious it works. Every time I play it some DJ comes up and asks "ay wot this 1 m8?" and I spread the gospel because the gospel is not the kinda thing you keep inside, its the kinda shit you share. This one is pure flames. Digital? Vinyl? No matter - your dancers will be living in ecstasy (eh?) easily inside the first 16 bars. Ive seen some folks start talking in tongues. tl;dr? put up shut up and just play this damn record and tell your dance floor to thank me.

Marilyn's Gold really jumps off the decks here. Nice tribal conga intro followed by a deep bassline, some handclaps and whistles and shouts makes this a great peak track. This could end up being a space disco anthem if it wasn't so immediate and it cries for a Robert Owens vocal IMHO. Great effort from JR.
