I like Ray Loves tracks - no doubt - but I know near nobody who has taken so much elements from other artist.The main melody from 'The Solution' is taken from M.F.A.'s 'Solitude' (Cem Oral, Ingmar Koch, Jörg Burger, Wolfgang Voigt). He changed nothing, took it 1 to 1 from the original track from the German artists. The third track 'Tranquility' appears under artist name 'Cypher Code' with the track 'Free Ozone' on the 1993 ambient trance compilation 'Tranceworld'. The tune is credited to Andreas Bolz, Cem Oral, Ingmar Koch, Jörg Burger, Wolfgang Voigt. Because both tunes are from 1993 I don't know 100% if its not a revenge from the German producers because of that brazen theft but the Germans aren't known for copy other stuff, more the opposite: They are known for legendary tunes of techno history, the prices for M.F.A.'s 2x12" 'Music For Assholes' where 'Solitude' appears on are not below 200 Euro at the moment and the release is very very sought after.In opposition to this Ray Love is known for taking the main elements from succesful very nice European tracks for his own tracks so his other release on EXperimental 'Symphony Of Love II' also uses the melody from the Italien artist Alex Silvi who produces under the name Alien Signal the original track with this heart breaking melody.Love took Dance 2 Trance's (Jam El Mar & Dj Dag) main theme of 'They Came In Peace' for his track 'Techno For All Mankind (Deep Techno Mix)' too but don't get me wrong: Ray Love did this not in a way which destroys the magic of the tunes, he creates another version of the original track without to mention who is responsible for the main elements.Beside of this facts he creates with Damon Wild (*and Tim Taylor) some legendary techno tunes (The Rising Sons*, Acid Masters, Toxic Two) where no elements where used from already existing tracks. But as soon as he is the only man behind a 12" from the early 90s it could be interesting to dig a little deeper.

Brilliant vinyl - "The Solution" for me one of the most excellent acid trance tunes ever. Very warm deep acid straight from the mind of Ray. If you like oldschool acid trance; then this record is a must-have !

I bought this track when it first came out on limited blue marble effect vinyl, excellent EP throughout, though my personal fav being "The Solution", which always created a feeling of joy and deep emotion all in one.. An amazing track..!!

I don’t find a blue marbled copy from this release on Discogs. Are you sure?

I bought this piece of vinyl when it was just released in 1993, & i was impressed by the tracks that were on this record, 3 verry good & deep tunes created from the mind of Ray Love. The best track on this record is without a doubt, Tranquility. A deep hynotic detroit sounding tune, with bleeps ,sharp hi-hats, a dreamy bass & a synth to complete the tune, it's wonderfull techno ! The Solution is also a fantastic tune, but this one is more into the acid sounds, & sounds a bit more agressive than Tranquility. The fun part is in Spirit Of Love, i am not really shure what sample Ray Love uses in this track, but in the middle there is a break with a well know piece of classical music. i think the sample is from Vivaldi , The Four Seasons. Excellent record, with different styles of music.
