More beautifully crafted musicianship. A new discvory for me .

The Circular Ruins "Invisible Cities" CDrIt's my big pleasure to make review of this very interesting project from sympathetic Canadian label, run by Anthony Paul Kerby who is also the mastermind behind TCR and other projects and co-works like Nunc Stans, Lammergeyer or The Winterhouse (with Robert Davies). APK is equiped with extensive discography, but always trying to search and enter new territories with his soundworlds. "Invisible Cities" is no exception, APK is a true sound explorer sculpting his sonics with wide variety of used electronics accompanied by some location recordings. As always APK's very organic flavoured ambient creations show a very spontaneous textures full of surprises and happenings, they never slip into a fade. Inspired by "Invisible Cities", a novel by Italian writer Italo Calvino, APK delivers here a very complex, but colorful, rich and evolving sonic structures and atmospheres, very immaginative and immersive explorations. Put your headphones on, take the journey with careful attention and your rewarding awaits you. Difficult to pick up the best piece, maybe intense, but mesmerizing "Over Land And Over Water", pure beauty!!! Or erupting "Approaching The City Of Revelations"? In any case, bravo, Anthony, probably the most magnificent journey by dataObscura during 2010!!! I could say, more please, but I know you have more adventures to come...
