This is an alternate version without chorus. It was later rerecorded with chorus for the recorded album and later charged for the final film version.

LIMITED CIRCULATION FOR COLLECTORS ONLY

ForJames Deans last film, Dimitri Tiomkin wroteone of his most
stirring and powerful scores. Unfortunately, the time limitations
for record albums at the time was around 40 minutes. That album
was released by Capitol Records and is currently available on cd
and should be a cornerstoneof every soundtrack library.
Tiomkin had chosen additional selections for a possible Volume Two,
but Capitol rejectedthe idea. This CD includesthose selections
while offering additional music that was deleted from the film
or rejected and replaced with other music. None of this music
duplicates anything on the Capitolalbum and should de listened in
