This is the digipak CD release accompanying the "performance-installation show" ("a concert for cross-chess and four chess players") of Laibach's interpretation of "Die Kunst der Fuge (BWV 1080)" by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The world premiere of LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE - Konzert für das Kreuzschach und vier Schachspieler [a concert for Cross-Chess and four chess players] was held on the 1st of June 2006 at Werk II in Leipzig, for the B.A.C.H. - Alternative Compositions on Historical Basics" festival. A 90 minute surround sound performance was dedicated to J.S. Bach, Arnold Schönberg, Marcel Duchamp, Kraftwerk, Capt. George Hope Verney, Robert Fisher & Boris Spaski. The event was co-produced by Bachfest/Bach Archive, the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Slovenia and others. Special thanks goes to Oliver Naumann [Werk II cultural manager], Peter Matzke [project manager], Dr. Dettloff Schwerdtfeger [Bach Archive Geschäftsführer] and Goran Lisica Fox [Dallas Records].
