Mate you've done a perfect description here! and Everyday Extinction is intense

An all around nervous, if not opressive 12". I intended that to sound as a compliment. However, my entire focus and utter amazement are aimed at the B1 number, Everyday Extinction. Dear God. What the maker pulled off here deserves the utmost respect from everyone, be it the seasoned industrial techno veterans or the pill munching pimple faced weekend glow stick shaking toddlers.Kicking off with some sinister organ stabs, air-strike piercing sirens and pagan, ritualistic drum loops, and then about a minute deep, some supplementary break beats as well. But it's only then that the magic really kicks in. Gradually, the siren sound morphs, and transforms into a voice like pad, mournful one too. Christ almighty, the subtlety of the transition in such a deviant track. Occult at its finest. Then, in the midst of rusty industrial scintillation, it all bonds together into a melting pot of tormenting vocal excerpts, bagpipe like segments, lunging drones and all out frenetic sequencing. Once the percussion is refracted, it all boils down to hell's orchestra taking command of planet Earth and a single, high pitched wail guiding us to Lucifer's chamber. Remarkable. I avoid buying releases with one truly killer track only, but rules are there to be broken. While nothing here is feeble, this tune is a once in a life time achievement. You should be proud of yourself mr. Shawn O'Sullivan. You have quite a task outdoing yourself now.As for the remainder of this release? The inner tracks are decent enough, drone laden pieces toning down the bpm fare (yet keeping up with the intensity), however, it's nothing overly exciting: metallic claps, warehouse echoes, buzzes and hissing cracks. Macabre theatrics basically. If you've been into Downwards for a while, or fancy Makaton's or Grovskopa's productions, you've heard it already. For fresh faces, it's good, gothic, monolithic electronica.Lender Of Last Resort is the other really noteworthy piece here. Claustrophobic relentless techno, with a 4x4 rasp topped off with another hopeless distant female vocal. Dark and brooding to the max. However, what (kind of) spoils this one for me is an incredibly irritating, if not totally misplaced loop, funky and cool in its own right, but it does nothing but deteriorate the overall shrapnel bullet feel this track aims to portray. A pity, but a good effort nonetheless. To reiterate: while "Non Nocere" is in my book unquestionably the better release of the two, a tune like Everyday Extinction cannot go by ignored. On its own, it literary obliterates anything else deployed over this piece of wax. Absolute masterclass of a production. You need to hear it.
