This is the initial version of this release, which was only for sale during about a week. Subsequent pressings deleted Laurent Garnier's "Oxygene 1 (Laboratoire Mix)" because of some disagreement.

The release is packaged in a jewel case with transparent disc tray.
Catalogue number is listed as "FDM 36155-2" on back cover and disc and as "FDM 36155- 2" on spines.
Some copies have a SID mould code only, other do not.
No release artist is explicitely mentioned. Remixers are presented as main artists of their respective tracks inside the booklet (Black Girl Rock for track 7 and Slam for track 10).

From what I've read, the Laurent Garnier remix was removed (quite rapidly) from the album because of personal disagreements between him and Jarre. They are indeed well known to dislike each other; Garnier amongst others mocked and ranted against Jarre's fancy spectacular shows in a famous interview. However I think there's also a more artistic reason to the removal of this remix. Indeed, it is by far the least related to the original track on the album. Other remixes easily remind the original track, while IMHO it takes a little more imagination to notice that the main theme of Garnier's remix is adapted, rather than just taken, from Oxygene 1. Jarre apparently dislikes that a lot: for the same reason of not being close enough from the original, he refused around the same time a remix of another Oxygene part made by ambient group [Invalid Artist], who then reworked the remix and released it as an original track... that they named Toxygene :)
