Decadance is not a mega mix as many we had in the late 80's (in my opinion the worse we ever had were the mega mixes back then!)Much the contrary, it is a gathering of many Duran Duran catchy tunes put into one single track to celebrate the bands almost 10 years of existence in a fresh style at the time. That was the first time that a track or many tracks were explored that way.sampling various hits of the band and re-creating a whole new song along with a new bass line and drum programming to suit it's new tempo.Perfect!

So true. Both cuts were as much new tune as they were an homage. Not like anything before it or since, really. Both thanks to "sampling"
