Japan-for-U.S. CD issue of original Varèse Sarabande LP configuration of "Scheherazade," coupled with the previously unissued "Russlan and Ludmilla Overture," both from 1979 Soundstream digital recording sessions by Loris Tjeknavorian and the London Symphony Orchestra. The release features a four-page booklet (with blank inner pages!) with liner notes by Malcolm Walker (misspelled as "Malcom Walker" in the booklet!), which begin on the back of the inlay card and continue on the back cover of the booklet, as well as a brief note concerning the recording. The front cover features a color reproduction of a painting of Sinbad by an unidentified artist. (Both the liner notes and CD label [correctly!] refer to the title of the Glinka selection as "Russlan And Ludmilla Overture," whereas the front cover and the back of the inlay card give the title as the "Russlan And Ludmila Overture," and the spine gives the title as the "Russlan & Ludmila Overture.")
