Now this is the type of techno I like. "Higher" is one of those tracks that doesn't stop once it gets going, really quite a dark one. It pulls you in and won't let go, quite overwhelming. "The Soul" has similar qualities, but isn't as dark. That lead synth sounds as if it's taken from Orbital's Brown Album - it shouldn't really work in this context, but it does. Although this release doesn't do anything particularly original, it does combine elements that are, well, rarely combined. Basically, it's another winner from F-Comm.
