Two short variations on a theme by the Norwegian sound artist Tore Honoré Bøe. Here breaking from his digital upbringing and showing his chops on the analog circuit. The use of the reel-to-reel lends it the patina of an arcane field recording - given the sounds of cutlery and chattering voices, perhaps a recording from some hellish restaurant kitchen. This is backed by an increasingly unsettling drone of insectoid character, lending the whole piece an atmosphere of impending doom. All without resorting to noise.Bøe has more or less retired as a solo artist, and now produces work mostly throught the Origami Republika collective.
