This release was fabricated by purchasing a huge bag of white wax pellets that was melted down in small batches inside metal Billy cans on a camping stove. The standard CD jewel cased version was sealed before being submerged in this liquid wax contained within a disposable aluminum cake tin. Each wax 'box' was thus unique in that the crinkled edges and overall shape differed as the the wax cooled and bent the aluminum tin. Next step was to carve info by hand into the dried wax. To get the CD out you would have to break open this wax box which was about 8" square and between 2 to 3" deep. The whole process took ages and only 10 or 20 copies, were made that day (in one of the London School of Art studios). These were so heavy Regelwidrig distributed them solely through the Rough Trade store in London. Unfortunately no photos from that day exist, just memories of having a bit of a laugh doing this.
