G.R. is easily the best Deathpile release, with it's cold, neurotic atmosphere, great vocals, and good production - I think every power electronics release should sound something like this. The samples are placed in good directions, and the sceeching synthesizer sounds fucking nice. My only problem with this album is the sixth track, namely 'Known Victims'. I think it's a bit too long, and break the deconstruction, what is started at the second song - Bird Seed impression anyone? - so, it's pretty useless in it's lenght. Anyway, if this track was not that long, this release could be mint for me. Recommended for any power electronics/harsh noise listener, or just anyone, in general. "Who's laughing now?"

This is one of my favorite albums of the power electronics/noise genre. The sheer power, brutality and noise in these nine tracks is what makes it such a stunning release. Some of the tracks, in my perhaps somewhat inexperienced opinion, have a punk quality to them because of the screamed/yelled vocals and blinding speed of the noise. I didn't even know of this release until recently but being a fan of Hospital Productions, I eventually found out about it. This album fits in nicely alongside other Hospital artists like Wolf Eyes and Prurient. A very essential release for any fan of power electronics or noise, definitely.
