My copy sounds VERY good. I was concerned because of the "smokey" vinyl but Im impressed and very happy with this version. Everything is clear, bass has nice weight to it and isn't muddy or over done and the highs come through clear and distinguished as well.

LMAO at these internet flippers trying to shuck this for $100 on here.Especially when the quality of this pressing SUCKS compared to the standard black version. That's because colored vinyl is gimmicky crap, usually poorly manufactured and of poor quality. Nothing more than foolish collector's bait to falsely justify extortionist prices for something that offers no return investment whatsoever. I paid $22 for my 10th anniversary black vinyl copy and it sounds rich and lively...something the colored vinyl copy I play-tested most definitely does not. A fool and his money are soon parted.

mr.Mine
Nine Inch Nails fan, I bet you are really fun at parties. I purchase whatever is available to me be it black or coloured and my coloured records of various weights sound every bit as good as my black records. But you're entitled to your opinion and, like many on the internet, you will share it where you please. I just don't think anyone cares that much. Anyway, looking forward to the new Interpol album!

FEISKO
Prove what? One only needs to look at your posts. Your ridiculous tone. Says everything one needs to know about you. To quote Lou Reed: "If you talk like you write nobody listens to you!" Have a good day;);)

Giamah
And yet, you STILL have no evidence to back any of your claims up. If it's cliched and inaccurate, PROVE IT. If vinyl is so complex that colored vinyl is just as good as black vinyl (which it most certainly is not), then PROVE IT. I have provided easily-verified facts and examples to support my original claim that black vinyl is far superior to gimmicky colored vinyl. Because it's TRUE. You? You just keep coming back to try and have the last word, with lame insults and subterfuge, looking like a joke. It should be clear to anyone who has a clue about vinyl that you are talking out of your rear and have no basis to the argument you are trying -- and failing -- to make here. Just stop typing.

Bad Sunny
My pressing is pretty bad - crackles and pops and one of the records is a few millimetres too big for my turntable (rubs against the needle arm making it sound wonky and warped)

Braendo
God, are you D.U.M.B.. I NEVER said I preferred colour vinyl. I only objected to your blatant overgeneralization because this whole "Colour vinyl is inherently inferior" claim is one of the most clichéd assumptions in record collecting . I know that people like YOU prefer black and white patterns but... unfortunately reality - and vinyl - is a tad more complex. Now shoot up.

Xig
Right. No facts to your argument, as suspected. Just another novice collector assuming colored vinyl is better because the price is marked up, with no knowledge to back it up. You're dismissed.

Lamranilv
Dude, you sound like a real uncool guy. Enjoy your "superior" black vinyl!

Alsath
Not my problem. People can believe whatever they want. It's this "moongoon" guy who is talking nonsense without providing any facts to the matter, not me.

Jeb
Yeah but they way you come off is going to keep anyone from taking your seriously.

santa
How so? Clearly I know what I'm talking about here. This IS a vinyl collectors site, is it not?

Vizuru
You've got too much time on your hands dude. Extra words

Kanrad
Here is a Discogs discussion that I helped pioneer a few years back, outlining why black vinyl is far superior to colored wax: https://www.discogs.com/group/thread/600594Maybe you and some of your fellow "helpfuls" who are new to vinyl can educate yourselves on the properties that make black vinyl superior to all other colors, for many different reasons. The whole "black is a color too, after all" is actually a very lame argument that has been refuted here at Discogs, on the Steve Hoffmann forums, and elsewhere many times. Not just on your say-so. I can understand that you probably want to defend colored vinyl, in that you've likely been duped into buying plenty of it for its pretty color that sacrifices its sound quality, but it's simple algorithms and science at work here. But if you want to continue to argue the matter, please show us where you're getting these "facts" that colored vinyl is just as good as standard black vinyl. Otherwise, you're just another vinyl novice running at the mouth about things you clearly aren't versed in.

Washington
If it "not your problem" then why bother? It's untrue because colour vinyl isn't inherently inferior. Black vinyl is coloured too btw. But that's a fact people like you will never ever get:)

Daigrel
Obviously you are, since you're reading AND replying. And how is it untrue? I play-tested BOTH the black and colored variants. The black sounds infinitely better. Not my problem you and others are so easily duped by pointless colored vinyl that has zero incentive.

Made-with-Love
You REALLY think people here are interested in your clichéd - and untrue - rant? Say something SUBSTANTIAL or leave but spare us your clichés about color vinyl.A fool and his words;)

Nirn
anyone else's copy have really static-y middle frequencies? fart boy

Vikus
doesn't look like it according to the matrix number s

Nilabor
Hi fart boy, is your pressing done by GZ media?

Kazracage
the pre-order website for this variant (https://thesoundofvinyl.us/interpol-our-love-to-admire-exclusive-color.html) says it includes Mind Over Time as the 12th track, however after listening all the way though, it does not contain the song. major bummer.

Weiehan
now all sold out. I hope the quality is good.
