My copy of this has Side 1 and Side 4 on one LP, and Side 2 and Side 3 are on another LPLP One: Side One; Side FourLP Two: Side Two; Side ThreeWeird!

Via
Mine's the same. It's weird because you have to change, and then change back then flip, and then change back.

Maldarbaq
Strangely enough, this is deliberate. My copy is the same. The idea was to have to flip the records the least number of times when using a player with an autochanger (which were very popular at the time). Side 1 would end and side 2 would automatically drop onto the platter and start. You would then flip both records at the same time, play side 3 and side 4 would drop onto the platter. Autochangers are far less abundant now so in the re-releases sides 1 and 2 are on LP1 and sides 3 and 4 on LP2 as one would expect normally :)

If anybody has the booklet, poster and the other inlay (I have the t-shirt insert) please get in touch x l r 8 p r o M O T I o N S @ G M a I L . C o m

I came across an album version with the searchlight label, but the print is a bit bolder than other labels of this type and, more importantly, “SIDE ONE” and underneath it “STEREO” are to the left of the spindle. “2T-541” and “(M-2-541-AS)”, are to the right of the spindle on Side A, with consecutive BS, CS and DS on each side. Can’t seem to find it in Discogs. Think it’s worth entering?

Foxanayn
I have this record, with T shirt order form and insert, but not poster or booklet. Everything looks exactly the same except my center labels are the same as the RCA Club Edition, however they don't have the same code written on them that the club edition has. Anyone have an idea?

SoSok
pure coincidence that i added this one today to my collection - it was just now in the queue :-)

Itiannta
I've come across a copy (2T-541) that has different labels. These labels feature the "20th Century FOX Records" monolith and searchlights - same as the fanfare that opens the original film. I can't find another version of 2t_541 listed here on Discogs and the current eBay auctions I have checked all have the typical blue label. Anyone else seen this?

invincible
That's the one! Not sure how I missed it. Thanks!

Saithi
That's the one! Not sure how I missed it. Thanks!

Nenayally
Could it be this one? https://www.discogs.com/John-Williams-4London-Symphony-Orchestra-Star-Wars/release/9647316 It's like the RCA club edition without actually being an RCA edition.

Skyway
this one maybe? not sure... just taking a shot.. ;)https://www.discogs.com/London-Symphony-Orchestra-Star-Wars/release/7370116

Morlurne
Hi, does this actually include the 16-page booklet? I know that "Empire strikes back" 2LP came with the booklet, maybe it's mixed up with this?

Dream
can you link to a photo or online reference to this somewhere?

Domarivip
GreatBowIsAfire Would you mind adding photos of the book from your copy?

Fenius
Could you provide a photo of this booklet? I've seen dozens of these and have never seen a 16 page booklet. There isn't any photo proof on any of the Discogs listings either. Thanks.

Glei
Can you describe the booklet or post a photo? I've been researching this and haven't seen any proof that it exists anywhere. I too feel like it's a mistake in the listing. The Story of Star Wars has a booklet so maybe that was the mix-up. As far as I can tell there was only the single page insert with the credits, the poster and the short order form.

Gom
yes, it actually does include the 16 pg. booklet in the complete set.. i just scored a pristine copy :D

Vit
No booklet included in this release, only one page insert!

Prince Persie
Yeah, I've seen three or four of these, and none had booklets.

Gann
I wonder the same thing as I have never seem a copy with a 16 page booklet.

lubov
John Williams' score and soundtrack to the original "Star Wars" is quite possibly the most recognizable melody in modern classical or modern pop music since Beethoven's 5th (and it might even surpass that)...

Fast Lovebird
My cover copy appears to have the lower right corner clipped off - is this normal for this release?

Tori Texer
Thanks, I appreciate it!

Sharpmane
it's pretty common when buying used vinyl. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut-out_(recording_industry)gold "promotional use only" stamps or similar are also relatively common. either of those should be specified in online listings. the effect on value for major/popular releases is typically pretty small, but obviously makes a difference for collecting purposes.

Nalmezar
This soundtrack is from the first Star Wars film, and the soundtrack can really bring back the emotion captured in that film. John Williams expertise along with the skillful London Symphony Orchestra create an atmosphere like that of no other franchise. He will be surely missed if not brought back for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
