This is a surprising release for the Saw Recordings catalog, for two reasons. First, the record is a techno record rather than a "progressive" one (as is the usual habit for the label). Second, Cerrone eschews his tendency to compose over-the-head tough percussive beats, and peels off three of his most thoughtful, and even introspective tracks to date. Skirting the deep and the dubby, Cerrone shows us that he's capable of techno with traces of melody, and even emotion. Excellent "rilis."
