Capitol Starline had so many reissues with the Beach Boys they are hard to track. They first appeared on the Green Swirl Label in 1965. This reissue listed here was released in 1982 not 1981. The Blue label A-series was issued in 1981 the blue label X-series started in 1982 as far as I can tell. There is also a red and white target label that first appeared in 1966, 1967 and again in 1969. There is a tan label that begins in 1972 and ran for many years in all sorts of variations. The Starline rainbow series started in 1983 with a X-series and also ran for a few years to be replaced by the maroon series label in 1988. The Starline series was very complicated.
