I ignored this when it came out, not even pulling it out of the shelf at Dance Tracks when scanning new releases. I thought Duke did great "updates" of classics, but for some reason I couldn't take that he was doing it to E2-E4 as I'd rather just stick to the original. Advance nearly 17 years later, I'm checking out D2 D2 on YT and then reassess my thoughts... It's definitely its own thing. I tend to think of K Duke as one of these really unsung producers who tended to get his music put into the disposable, little shelf life category. He was pretty prolific in the mid-90s. However, as I go back to pieces that I have of his in my own collection, I'm finding his variants are really his own thing, particularly in the Earth Moon & Sun releases. I'm writing this as I'm listening to D2 D2 and find myself digging his synth guitar licks... No, not Manuel (listen to that running this morning), but still something in its own right. If you read this Duke, thanks for the tracks, I'm still digging some of your tunes 20 years on, yes even Blow Your Whistle!

This is a remix of the old Manuel Gottsching song: E2-E4, which formed the basis for the the Sueno Latino track: Sueno Latino. Strongly recommend the DJ Duke version as it stays pretty true to the original.
