The "New Version" of TRUE gives it a lot more rock pep on this single, moving away from the folksier original. The b-side, "The Best Thing," for its short time, suggests an abstract grandeur. That abstraction plays out on a larger scale once A Grape Dope gets his fingers on "Felt Cave," starting it off sparse, but slowly building the layers until a mellow funk emerges. Interesting enough.
